The All New LeEco Le 2 launched in India recently on 16th with an attractive price tag of Rs. 11999 .So lets find out whether the phone is worth the wait and price..
Lets Get Started !

SPECIFICATION

The Phone comes with a 5.50-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 1920 pixels which gives it a PPI of 403 pixels per inch. The Le 2 is powered by 1.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor and it comes with 3GB of RAM. The Le 2 is a dual NANO SIM (GSM and GSM). Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, 2G, 3G and 4G. Sensors on the phone include Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor, Magnetometer and Gyroscope.
It supports Quick charge, with 2.4A of charger, We got 1 to 60% in around 33mins of charge.

    BUILD QUALITY

The Body is made of metal and has curvy shaped edges and the handset is 7.5 mm slim. The Speaker is placed at the bottom Side and at back side there is flash beside Camera sensor, under that has the Fingerprint sensor above the Letv logo. There is One Tiny Led light which is beside the front camera for Notification. The camera module is a slightly Out from the Device's Surface. Phone looks very gorgeous in Rose Gold color.

DISPLAY

Le 2 comes with 5.5 Inch 1080p FHD Display with 403 ppi. The Viewing angles are excellent and the screen is visible from almost all angles.
The color reproduction is fantastic and whites are really white and so as black . The screen is visible outdoors , thanks to adaptive brightness and outdoor option. There is a black border (bezels) along the outlines of screen .

Sound Quality

Le 2 comes with CDLA (Continuous Digital Lossless Audio) technology, the earphone sound is really best with this set. The speaker sound is loud and clear. Thanks to DOLBY ATMOS, which makes sound really enjoyable in earphone.

GAMING

The Gaming Performance is very smooth and no lags.

All the graphics were getting rendered and no frame drops encountered. We played and tested Mortal Combat X, FL Commando, Real Racing, Asphalt 8, FIFA 14, and Mission Impossible. It gets heated after a continuous Gameplay of around 30 minutes. Max Temperature we encountered was 43C.

EUI OS

The user interface is very good, though it has different style from other UI at present, the settings and shortcut icons pop out when the 1st Option soft key (Left) is pressed. If we swipe upwards that will only show the latest notification. 5.8.015s Stable version is the latest updated we used .There are plenty of customization and 10 Indian languages available in phone, which is a good initiative.

About Le LIVE- “SUPERTAINMENT”

Le 2 in India comes bundled with LeEco’s Supertainment program that if purchased separately would cost Rs 4900. With this program, users will get access to more than 1.9 million songs with lossless audio, 50+ Big Ticket International Live Concerts, exclusive Live Streaming of Major Entertainment Events & Music Concerts Worldwide along with 7500+ hours of world class entertainment. LeEco would also give users a chance to tune into top International Live Concerts – Live and Offline – in Lossless Audio. And there’s still a lot more! Access to a content library of 2000+ movies and 3000+ hours of curated shows, 150+ live TV channels in 10 languages. Surely, the content membership alone makes Le 2 a must-buy.

CAMERA

LeEco's camera app is one of the best ones around, with easy access to important settings. It borrows heavily from iOS but also offers more functionality, such as a few scene modes and controls over white balance, exposure and ISO.

It has a 16mp ISOCELL Samsung sensor at the Rear and 8mp BSI sensor at the Back.  Photos look great if they aren't zoomed in to full size, but lack of detail in textures and fuzziness around the edges of objects. Focusing is quick and you can get some nice depth effects, but there were also times while taking quick shots, they came out blurred. Low-light shots were difficult to get right, especially if subjects weren't perfectly still. 4K videos came out decent, though not especially bright or vibrant. Photos taken with the front camera also came out a bit soft.
HDR is good, modes works well and panorama produced very good shots .
We have attached some photos below in AF mode ( with and without flash), Night Mode, HDR, Macro shot .

Here are some sample shots by LeEco Le 2

SENSORS

Gyroscope, compass, proximity, IR for AC, TV worked well.

Fingerprint works good and pretty fast, it can save upto 5 fingers/prints

PERFORMANCE

Performance in benchmarks was excellent, with 81,445( without SIM) , 82,414(with sim inserted )  in AnTuTu, 37,845 overall in Quadrant, 8,694 in 3DMark Ice Storm Extreme, and 28fps in GFXBench. There's plenty of power on tap no matter what kind of app you want to run, and you should be happy for at least a few years. HD and 4K videos play flawlessly, though sound from the built-in speaker distorts at higher volumes. We were able to get through a full day with lots of 4G data usage and a bit of gaming as well.

VERDICT

PROS

  • Looks STUNNING, Awesome DISPLAY
  • Free Le Ecosystem subscription for a year
  • Good camera
  • Great performance
  • C type Headphone ( 3.5mm converter is provided)

CONS

  • No expandable storage
  • Average battery life

FINAL VERDICT AND CONCLUSION

Le 2 is really a good smartphone. If you want a great display and good camera with great sound quality then this phone is a must buy – also one will get 1 yr Le ENTERTAINMENT package free.
Though its lacks standard 3.5mm audio port, but converter is provided by company which is good to use existing earphones.
At a price of 12,000 it’s a good device with a Powerful Chipset.

          Thank you !!!

We would like to Thank Siddharth Patnaik for the Review !

OnePlus 3 update in the works: sRGB mode, better RAM management

June 23, 2016
sRGB on the left • default (current) color mode on the right

sRGB on the left • default (current) color mode on the right
Carl Pei and team has heard its users and is working on an update for the OnePlus 3. The update, Oxygen OS 3.1.4 (ha, pi!), will bring an sRGB mode and will change how RAM is managed.

The sRGB option will live in the Developer options, indicating OnePlus still believes their tuning of the Optic AMOLED display is better (in case you haven't heard it's a tweaked latest-gen Super AMOLED).

Here are photos showing the new mode posted by a Community Manager over at the OnePlus forums.

There's less detail about the updated RAM policy, but it will definitely be less aggressive about kicking apps from memory. Earlier, Carl Pei suggested that custom ROMs are the way to go for those unhappy with the current setup (which allegedly improves battery life), but that seems to have changed.

Now Oppo Find 9 jumps on Snapdragon 821 (aka SD823) rumor bandwagon

June 23, 2016

A new Oppo Find 9 leak has surfaced online, revealing detailed specs of the device. As per the leak, the Find 9 will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 821 (now called SD823) and sport a 5.5-inch QHD display.

RAM will be 8GB while internal memory will be 128GB. In terms of camera, the device will feature 21MP rear unit (seemingly dual-camera setup) and 16MP front shooter. A large 4,100mAh battery (with Super VOOC fast charting) will be there to keep the lights on. The OS, however, is said to be Android 5.1 Lollipop.

It's worth mentioning that aside from the many other upcoming handsets, including those from LeEco, Nubia, Xiaomi, HTC and Asus are also said to be powered by the yet-to-be-announced SD821/SD823 chipset.
